Be an Institutional Member of Philippine Political Science Association (PPSA)

Institutional membership in the PPSA is open to all academic institutions offering at least an undergraduate program in political science. At present, the Association has around 10 institutional members.

Institutional membership

Open to academic institutions who wish to become institutional members of the association. Institutional membership inclusion comprise the department or agency registered and four representatives who will be automatically granted membership to PPSA through their institution.


Benefits of Membership

  • Institutional members will a certificate as proof of their membership in the PPSA.
  • In addition to being part of the national and international PPSA network, institutional members also enjoy benefits in the form of invitations to seminars, workshops, and conferences.
  • Institutional members are also entitled to an exclusive one-year subscription to the Philippine Political Science Journal (a Scopus-indexed journal published by Koninklijke Brill NV) and access to the International Political Science Review (a publication of the International Political Science Association).

Annual Membership Fees

To avail the benefits above and have their membership considered valid by PPSA, members are to pay annual membership dues adjusted for their type of membership. Starting 2021, the schedule of dues is as follows:

Requirements for Application
or Renewal of PPSA Membership

For both application and renewal of membership, the following documents are required:

  • One (1) filled-up Institutional Membership Application Form; and
  • At least one (1) proof of identification and/or proof of affiliation. Proofs of identification include government IDs, birth certificate, and passport, while proofs of affiliation include company and school IDs and certificates. For renewing PPSA Members, your Certification of Membership would suffice.

Institution members will be asked to nominate four (4) members from their institution who shall be entitled to receive discounts in conferences, access PPSA and IPSA journals, and serve as official representative.
